Custom Item Creation
With the fact that it isn’t considered taboo to advance technology, or even create it without the proper rituals, the crafting of custom items is going to be available. It will be somewhat abstract, but there will be guidelines in place for at least rough estimates before passing it the GM.
Select a type: Pistol, Basic, Heavy. This will go towards determining clip, weight, reload, and and price.
Select ammunition: Solid Projectile, Las, Bolt, Launcher, Plasma, Melta, Special/Exotic. This determines damage, pen, range, abilites, properties, and price.
Take a look at the weapons that match the type and ammo that you have chosen. Use them as a base line and figure out what you want to have done.
In case of Special/Exotic, this can be something fairly custom, but an idea of what is similar to what is being made is something to look at.
Select a type: Personal, Land, Flyer
Select a movement mode:
|Flyer||Single Seat||Transport||Gunship||SS Void||Tr Void||GS Void|
Each step down or to the right will be more expensive than the previous section. Here are some short descriptions and examples:
- Personal: In most cases these types of transport will only change the movement mode available to the rider and offer some minor cover AP, though you can specifically target the machine.
Wheel - a device that can transport a single person on a set of wheels, like a skateboard or powered sled.
Walker - a device that can transport a single person with, generally, bipedal locomotion, larger that power armour but smaller than a full walker.
Tread - a device that can transport a single person on treads, such as a crawling shield.
Flight - a device that can transport a single person through flight, such as a jump pack or glider.
- Ground: These are traditional vehicles. They are designed to carry at least one person, generally more, and are design to fully protect the passengers.
Bike - a construct to carry one to two riders at high speed and maneuverability with little protection. Covers bikes, jet-bikes, quads. Can sport Basic weapons mounted to them. Shots that hit Body hit bike instead.
Walker - a construct to carry one to three riders that sacrifices speed for supreme maneuverability and decent armour. Has the capability to support Heavy weapons. Depending on the level of AP and SI, called shots can be made against the riders.
4-Wheel - a construct to carry up to six riders with a good balance between speed, maneuverability, and armour. Has the capability to support Heavy weapons. Depending on level of AP and SI, called shots can be made against the riders.
Tread - a construct to carry upwards of 50 passengers besides a three man crew that sacrifices speed and maneuverability for supreme armour. Has the capability of supporting multiple Heavy weapons and possibly a single Ordnance weapon.
Skimmer - a construct designed to carry upwards of 20 passengers besides a two man crew at high speeds and maneuverability. It skims just above ground level and can attain a certain level of flight, but generally not more than 20m above the ground. What they gain in speed and maneuverability, they lack in armour and armament, though Heavy weapons can still be attached.
- Flyers: These are vehicles that use flight as their main mode of transport. All of them can act as a skimmer, moving up to 1/2 their combat speed. Their armour ranges greatly, as do their uses.
Single Seat - a construct designed to carry one or two crewmen at high velocity with good maneuverability. In combat, they are mostly suited to take on other flyers or strike a few heavy armoured targets.
Transport - a construct designed to carry upwards of 20 people besides a two to four man crew at good speed and decent maneuverability. They generally have somewhat more protection than a single seat, but have little to no weapons.
Gunship - a construct designed to carry a crew of four to eight people at good speed while well armoured. Generally equipped with many different heavy weapons and either the ability to deliver a payload of high yield explosives or sport a forward mounted Ordnance weapon.
SS Void - as single seat above, but designed to handle the void. Commonly equipped with the ability to jettison the entire cockpit. They occasionally carry warheads designed to cripple Void Ship engines.
Tr Void - as transport above, but designed to handle the void. Most commonly equipped to latch onto the outside of an enemy ship and cut into it using plascutters.
GS Void - as gunship above, but designed to handle the void. Rather than taking a payload, they can loose a torpedo or similar weapon that activates and follows it’s programming soon after jettisoning.
