Void Combat Changes
Because of the new classification of Merchant Ships, certain elements in ship combat will be altered.
Since Merchant Ships are much smaller than War Ships, they tend to require much less crew to operate. Merchant Ships do not have a Crew or Morale statistic and never suffer the penalties or bonuses to them. Many ship components that would alter these will be changed to show how they affect Merchant Ships.
If a combat involving both classes of ships occurs, a slight change in turn timing takes place. In the time it takes for a War Ship to act, Merchant Ships get to take two turns. In effect, this will do nothing to Speed or Maneuverability because turns will shift to 1 hour length instead of 30 min length, but Merchant Ship crew are allowed to take multiple actions, such as firing weapons, repairs, and even maneuvers if you take into account the correct speed alternations depending on map scale.
